Here are a sample of the questions that we have received by
e-mail. If you have ANY question please do not hesitate to send us a quick e-mail. Above all we want you to be proud of
your finished D-I-Y Cornice.
Do I have to use Home Decorator Fabric to cover the
Cornice Frame?
NO. The Cornice frame is completely opaque when you add the
foundation material included in the kit. You do not have to worry about thin fabric or
light showing through.
We have seen people use bed sheets, calicos, and many other light weight fabrics to cover
the cornice.
My Window Treatment is longer than 96 inches. Do
you have longer kits.
YES. We have found that the most popular kits are the 48 or 96. If
you have the need for a longer kit just add the Cornice Frame Extender Kit to your
order. It will add up to 23 inches to the cornice.
If you need an even longer kit we can quote you a custom kit. Just e-mail us your dimensions and we will get back to
you within a day.
Is it difficult to Hang the Cornice on the wall?
NO. The extremely light weight of the cornice makes it a simple job
for two people. It is a lot easier than hanging your drapes or blinds. You will need a
drill and a tape measurer.
All necessary hardware and easy-to-follow pictorial instructions are
included.
TIP: If you are going to use a bubble level to hang your
cornice make sure that your ceiling is level first. No matter how level you get your
cornice if the ceiling is not level your cornice will not look level. We suggest that you
measure from the ceiling to the cornice to avoid this problem.
When I move can I take my Cornices with me?
YES. They are so light and easy to take off the wall it would be no
trouble to take them with you.
Remember that you can resize your cornices smaller but you can’t make them larger
without adding a Cornice Frame Extender Kit.
Do you have Kits for a Bay Window?
Not at this time. We have been working on a design and are very
close to putting it all together. If you have a Bay window send us an e-mail with detailed
measurements and we will see what we can do for you.
